My favorite thing about my AB Cochlear implant is
the linkage to the roger pen and my Phonak earing aid.
With my AB cochlear implant, I can
hear sound in the left ear after several years of silence.
The hearing in my left ear i almost back to normal.
However, the sound that I hear is not the acostic sound that we hear with our normal ear. It is a digital sound that I need to get used to.
My favorite sound is
piano and music.
I chose AB because
It has better technology eg the T-mic for the Nadia helps me to answer phone calls directly at the ear. The new model promises to provide better range of hearing. It is linked to my hearing aid on my right ear. There is good after sales service by AB. The representative often comes down to the supplier site to assist the audiologist to adjust the frequencies.
I am a BEA Mentor because
I believe in helping people to have a better quality of life with the help of a CI. To help people to understand the benefits of a CI and not to fall into the trap of misguided conception of having a CI.
I can help cochlear implant candidates by
guiding them to the path of taking an enjoyable journey in hearing with a CI.
