About Me

I'm a 17 year old teenager from Mumbai, India. I love meeting new people, listening to music and helping others in any way I can :) Other than that I'm a student in the International Baccalaureate curriculum in an International School "Dhirubhai Ambani International School"

Mentor Information

My favorite thing about my AB Cochlear implant is
Music Perception. I have worn Cochlear Implants for most of my life and music is an integral part of my life. Without the power of AB CI's I do not think I would have been as happy with the life I am leading today.
With my AB cochlear implant, I can
integrate myself into the hearing world and mainstream as a self-sufficient and independent individual.
My favorite sound is
difficult to tell :P However, music and my friends' voices on the phone would be on the top of the list :)
I chose AB because
I was 18 months old when I was implanted on my left ear but from what my parents have told me is that they chose AB because of its continuous dedication to its recipients and the cosmetic appeal and innovativeness that is apparent in all of its new products.
I am a BEA Mentor because
I, by nature, love to help others. Also, the fact that being a mentor enables me to share my story and guide others going through a similar journey is something that I would love to do.
I can help cochlear implant candidates by
offering them moral support and advise them and their children about social and school - classroom related situations.
