My favorite thing about my AB Cochlear implant is
How it has given me access to living an ordinary life with the same chances and opportunities as my hearing peers around me. But also -- these Bluetooth capabilities are a close second!
With my AB cochlear implant, I can
I can. That's all -- with my AB cochlear implant, I can. I can do the same things as my hearing peers. I have the same potential, the same opportunities, chances, dreams, realities, experiences. I can be and am successful. I can achieve and do more. With my AB cochlear implant, I can. I can.
My favorite sound is
Music! But also, the sound of the wind blowing through the trees as I'm flipping through a book and hearing the casual sounds of the world around me: sirens, bikers, skateboarders, people talking, doors closing...! It's the small things!
I chose AB because
My parents chose AB, they chose based on technology, technology development, durability, and customer service. And now that i'm older and see the differences in companies, I like that AB strives to continue advancing their technology - there is constantly something new coming out. The company also takes the feedback and consideration of the recipients, and all the employees of AB are so helpful, kind, and eager to help!
I am a BEA Mentor because
I enjoy helping others and educating them on AB and their technology.
I can help cochlear implant candidates by
I can be here as a resource, sharing with you tips and tricks from my own lived experiences. I can share stories of how I got through elementary school, middle school, high school, college and all the transitions between each. But more importantly, I can help by listening what you have to say!
