I grew up unsure of how my hearing would be or how long it would last – literally from one day to the next. I used the latest hearing instruments, enlisted stenographers in the classroom and at the work-place, and did my best with lip-reading, but I felt sad, 'different', lonely, and uncertain of what my aspirations could or should be.

I was referred to the national CI in Dublin Who implanted the Advanced Bionic CI into each ear, which gave me my life back again. My friends call me the bionic woman. My objective now is to mentor other people on the same hearing journey, to help you hear again.
