Mentor Information

My favorite thing about my AB Cochlear implant is
I am confident that our children are receiving the most advanced hearing technology. The customer service staff and BEA staff is also wonderful.
With my AB cochlear implant, I can
Max functions well in a mainstreamed environment. He is in 1st grade and reading at an advanced level. He has lots of friends, plays baseball, yells at me (and hears me yell) from across the house! Claire is doing great at Mama Lere Hearing School, which is part of Vanderbilt. She is our dramatic one and tells us often if she is ‘not happy’ or ‘happy’. She is also our weather girl and loves to talk about whether it’s rainy, sunny, or cloudy outside.
My favorite sound is
Max – the Predators hockey team cheer. Claire – the sound of the kitchen timer (so she can get up from the dinner table!).
I chose AB because
Most advanced hearing technology and customer service.
I am a BEA Mentor because
We have so much appreciation for AB, we would like to give back to the company by advocating for the product. We know the emotional roller coaster that news of hearing loss can take a family on, and we would like to offer HOPE to families, especially those of a newly designated child.
I can help cochlear implant candidates by
Offering hope and practical advice to those newly diagnosed and newly activated.
