Mentor Information

My favorite thing about my AB Cochlear implant is
Hearing, when I want to, and turning off sounds I don’t want to hear. Deafness has it’s advantages. ;)
With my AB cochlear implant, I can
Participate in conversations, hear trains coming so that I can have my camera ready, feel confident when babysitting the grandkids.
My favorite sound is
Trains passing by and their horns.
I chose AB because
I was using Phonak Naida HAs and liked the sound. Plus I had many of the Phonak accessories that I could use with AB’s processors.
I am a BEA Mentor because
I like to help others.
I can help cochlear implant candidates by
Sharing my experiences, directing them to resources, listening to their concerns.
