**HJ CHAT will be cancelled November 6th and 13th due to technical issues with the platform. **
During this time, we would like to hear from you. What do you enjoy about chat? Would you be more apt to join if it was set up on a platform that would allow for video and chat discussion? What would make the weekly gathering experience better?

- Implanted AgeOlder AdultHearing LossSlowly ProgressiveImplantedLeftI am a retired cabinet maker, and suffered from meniere's disease and tinnitus. Gradual hearing loss from my early 20's. I was implanted 8th March 2017. It has changed my world, it is now full of sound. Thanks to AB and Beaumont CI team Dublin.
- Implanted AgeMiddle-aged AdultHearing LossSince BirthImplantedBothI was born hard-of-hearing in both ears and wore hearing aids up until I was 21 years old. I totally lost my hearing suddenly in my right ear and for 30 years, relied solely on my left ear with it having about 65% hearing ability. I received my first implant in my right ear in 2005 and then got my left ear implanted in December of 2016. It is a truly amazing experience in hearing things for the first time and discovering new sounds and learning to identify them.
