Mentor Information

My favorite thing about my AB Cochlear implant is
music has become an important part of my life again! I can not recall music ever sounding as wonderful as it does now!
With my AB cochlear implant, I can
enjoy dinner conversations in noisy resturants. I am also able to use the phone more comfortably! TV is now relaxing rather than a source of frustration!
My favorite sound is
coffee brewing, a clock ticking and my grandsons giggles!
I chose AB because
it seemed user friendly. It truly is a user friendly system!
I am a BEA Mentor because
it was meeting a AB user in 1998 that convinced me to give the CI a try! His success was my inspiration not to follow a poorly informed Dr's advice that the CI would not work for me! Thank goodness for that chance meeting with the AB user!
I can help cochlear implant candidates by
letting them know there is no question that is too silly to ask!
