Mentor Information

My favorite thing about my AB Cochlear implant is
Although not perfect, usually being able to follow a conversation enough to feel included. Also hearing all those little every day sounds like the oven beeping, crickets etc., that I had been missing for awhile.
With my AB cochlear implant, I can
Still teach in a relatively quiet setting. Still be employed and work with children.
My favorite sound is
My families voices. Before with just hearing aids, they sounded like barking dogs!
I chose AB because
Recommendation from others and after much research, AB seemed to be the best choice. Also, I love the support of other AB users, and the great customer service.
I am a BEA Mentor because
I can remember the uncertainty about getting the CI and how support from others made it easier. It's my turn to give back.
I can help cochlear implant candidates by
Answering any questions you may have particularly to professions like teaching or going bi-lateral.
